We had an entertaining visit by Mayor Of Kensington & Chelsea, Councillor David Lindsay on Friday.
He attended both Senior and Junior Assemblies and visited the Reception classes. He spoke about his love of reading, especially books from his youth – Treasure Island, Black Beauty as well as discussing the greatest book of all time – not Harry Potter or Charlie and the chocolate factory – but the bible. He told us that 6 billion copies have been made.
Pia (Year 11) asked him lots of questions about his role and how he is able to connect with all the different cultures and customs in the borough. One interesting point he shared was the motto of the K&C borough from Psalm 133: Quam bonum in unum habitare, which translates roughly as ‘How good it is to dwell in unity’.
