Meet the Teachers

Grace Kemp

Miss Grace

Grace graduated from York St John University with a BA Hons in Primary Education. Prior to working at Knightsbridge School, Grace spent over 8 years working in the state sector in South West London where she was Head of Early Years as well as Assistant Head Teacher. Grace spends time with Nurseries within the area to discuss and give support on school readiness and behaviour expectations. Whilst working for Knightsbridge School, Grace has completed a Leadership and Management Course through Dukes Education. Grace is the founder of ‘Hearts and Handovers’ a baby bank charity based in the community of Knightsbridge.

Miss Gill

Following a successful career in Business and Finance, Gill followed her lifelong passion and ambition of working with children and trained to be a teacher. Gill worked for The Young England Kindergarten and then moved to Knightsbridge School in 2006 when the school was set up by Magoo Giles. In April 2015, Gill also became the Safeguarding Lead alongside her role as Head of Nursery.

Miss Amy

Amy has been teaching in the Early Years for 11 years. She received her Bachelor of Early Childhood Education at Curtin University (Perth, Western Australia), graduating with a permanent teaching position in the Margaret River region. Amy taught in this position for 5 years before relocating to London. She joined Knightsbridge School as a Reception Teacher in April 2017 and fell in love with the ethos of the school. Amy is passionate about outdoor learning and recently converted the ground level courtyard into an outside classroom.

Miss Sarah

Sarah has been working with children for over 25 years in various roles from management to mentoring in different educational sectors. Sarah studied at Kingston University where she gained two NVQ 3’s, an Early Years Foundation Degree, a BA Hons, and her PGCE to then go on to gain her Early Years Teacher Status. She has worked at Knightsbridge School as an Early Years Educator for three years in the Early Years team.

Miss Angelle

Miss Angelle graduated from Bristol University with a BSc degree in Childhood Studies. She has further benefited through working in a child-orientated space, gaining experience in childcare and educational roles. Miss Angelle takes a particular interest in children’s mental health and SEND, recently enhanced by a placement in a school abroad. She has trained with a mental health charity in Bristol and carried out research on children and young people’s mental health. Miss Angelle was previously a Year 2 teaching assistant and is passionate about her move to the Early Years, very much looking forward to the year ahead with Miss Sarah and Reception S.

 

Miss Nina

Miss Nina studied law and graduated with 1st class honours in Bogota. While Miss Nina settled in Dubai, she turned her attention to studying for the Advanced Diploma in child care and education and since then she has worked in Early Years, gaining almost 20 years of experience. Miss Nina was also the founder of the Wraparound Care programme at The Jumeirah English Speaking School where she led the team on enhancing learning environments. Miss Nina joined KS in September 2020 and works with Miss Gill in the Lions class as an Early Years Educator.
